Lindsey was born on September 21, 1986 and she started taking violin lessons at the age of five. She then attended Greenfield Junior High at the age of 16 and then Mesquite High School where she joined four friends in a rock band called “Stomp on Melvin”. She later competed and won the Arizona’s Junior Miss title.

Lindsey Stirling was a contestant on season 5 of America’s Got Talent in 2010. She was a quarter-finalist in that season and impressed the judges with her mixture of hip-hop, pop and classical music on the violin. Her music video “Crystallize” was 8^th most viewed video of 2012 while her cover version of “Radioactive” with Pentatonix won Response of the Year in the first YouTube Music Awards in 2013. Her YouTube channel “Lindseystomp” has accumulated 9.7 million subscribers and over 1.9 billion total views.

Stirling has also collaborated with several musicians and singers like Shaun Borrowes, Tay Zonday, Peter Hollens, John Allred, Megan Nicole, The Piano Guys, Kurt Hugo Schneider, John Legend, Pentatonix, Chester See and many others.
