Calum Worthy is an actor, writer and producer of Canada, who has an estimated net worth of about $1 million.
Worthy was born on 28th of January, 1991 in Victoria, British Columbia of the United States. He was born to a professor, Martin Worthy but was raised mostly by his grandfather. He cleared his schooling from Claremont Secondary School.
Worthy choose his career in acting when he was just four years old after watching the movie ”Home Alone” where he was so impressed by the performance of Macaulay Culkinhad. So, he started making videos with his mother’s VHM camera. He also got enrolled into Tarlington Training Professional Children’s Program at the age of 9. After the three years program, he began uploading videos in Youtube by creating the unique content.
From the very young age, he got minor roles in the television. His career started after his appearance in the ‘Night Visions’. After that, he got role in one of the famous series of Britian named ‘I Was a Rat’ but his career as actor didn’t really boosted up so, he continued to train and started working on improving his acting skills. With his progressing performances he was offered a lead role in the television film ‘Thanksgiving Family Reunion’. He was even nominated and won ‘Young Artist Award’for this film in the category of ‘Best Performance by a Leading Young Actor’.
Worthy rose to fame with his role as ‘Dez’ in Disney’s most loved teenage show ‘Austin & Ally’. The show ran for four seasons. He developed as an actor on the show, and began taking interest in work behind the camera. He even wrote the script for one episode of the Disney TV series which sparked his creativity.Not only did he try his hand at scriptwriting, but he also taped a pilot called ‘Prepped’ for the big fish of the television industry, Cartoon Network. In 2011, he took up a role behind the camera, to shoot the TV film ‘Best Player’ on Nickelodeon.
Worthy was also nominated for another Young Artist Award in 2006 for Best Performance in a Short Film for his performance in the short movie ‘When Jesse Was Born’. Calum worked on a feature film called Daydream Nation and on Caprica , the new Battlestar Galactica spin-off and many more.
